Jugendstil pewter dish of trefoil shape, the wedges between the leaves filled with softly modelled violets. The base with three minimal ball feet for the balance. German, c 1900, marked Rein Zinn 95 % (Pure Pewter 95 %) under a crown. Width "6 ¾ / 17.5 cm. Condition: fine, keeping its original oxidized decoration and patina, never polished.

Art Nouveau or Jugendstil silver plated and footed pewter bowl by Kayser, Germany, c 1910. The design is a wreath of cherries, divided into three compartments. Early stamped mark Kayser. The Kayser or Kayserzinn factory in Krefeld produced pewter items of high artistic value in the decades around 1900. Diameter "6¾/ 17,5 cm and height "2/ 5 cm. Condition: fine.

Two rattan handled and lidded water jugs in late Jugendstil, two of a kind. One designed by Richard Riemerschmied for the company of F & R Fischer c 1915, the other and smaller by Webster & Son, New York c 1920. The German jug hammered (pressed) and nickeled brass, the American jug silvered copper. Riemerschmid was co-founder of the Deutscher Werkbund, the ideas of which were close to the Wiener Werkstätte...

English Edwardian cake knife, the blade engraved with a bird among flowers, the handle faux ivory resin. Marks för Atkin brothers in Sheffield and year mark for 1910. Length "9 ½ / 24 cm. Condition: a hairline and some yellowing to the handle.

Pair of oval silver salts, clean and simple design with straight sides and a classical border of stylized leaves (kymation) around the rim. Early 20th century, with Swedish import hall marks and possibly by Bernhard Hertz whose company was based in Copenhagen and Stockholm. Length "2/ 5,5 cm. No liners. Condition: fine.

Five watchful dogs – setters, dachshunds and a collie – cast in brass on an Art Nouveau pen tray. Around 1910, unmarked, probably English. Length "7 1/3 / 18.7 cm. Condition: natural wear, consistent with use, the underside still with original gilding.

Antique silver gilt spoon, enameled decoration of Denmark’s coat of arms. Made by Marius Hammer of Bergen, Norway, c 1900. The famous Hammer workshop (1847-1927) produced exquisite enameled cutlery and jewelry for export to other countries. Maker’s mark MH and 830 S. Length "4 / 10 cm. Condition: fine.

A two-handled solid silver bowl made around 1890. Unmarked, but its shape and the pierced pattern with crescents and six-pointed stars indicates a Russian and Jewish origin. Tested for a silver content of 800 / 1000 (minimum). Weight 157 grams, width "4 ½ / 11 cm and height "2 ½ / 6 ½ cm. Condition: fine.

A hand hammered brass teapot with rattan wrapped handle, probably Germany, c 1910. Together with a burner by Jan Eisenlöffel, c 1900. The burner with “hammered” dark blue glass walls made in the 1990’s to fit the exact style of the original. Height of teapot "7½/ 19 cm, width "8/ 20 cm, width of burner "5¼/ 13 cm. Condition: fine.

Oval silver box and lid of tea caddy shape, the knop of the lid a natural oval stone, probably veined gneiss. Engraved Georgian style borders and crest, the crest with a dedication, “From Steanis”, a gift in Georgian style and probably made around 1900. The box is unmarked and has been tested as sterling silver. Its weight is 798 grams. Length "7 ¼ / 18.5 cm, height including the knob "4 ¾ / 12cm. Condition: a few scratch marks around the crest and a minimal dent to the backside (cf. pics)...

A sterling silver and parcel-gilt teaspoon in the Irving pattern, patented by the firm of Robert Wallace in 1899. The pattern was reissued in 1975 under a different name, but this is the original from around 1900. The spoon blade engraved “St. James”. Marks: Pat. 1899 RW (deer head) & S Sterling. Length "5 1/3 / 13.7 cm. Condition: fine.

A very pretty ladies pocket watch, made in Switzerland, antique. The face is heart shaped, decorated in silver and gilt, the case all over finely engraved with floral ornaments. On the back are traces of enamel. The movement marked SWISSMADE. Case and cuvette both numbered 32086 over 5 and stamped 925, with London import marks for 1908, the cuvette also GS, initials that are part of the assay mark. Diameter "1¼/ 3,3 cm. Condition: at present it does not run.

German pewter vase by Kayserzinn, c 1900. Relief decoration of Marguerites in Jugendstil/Art Nouveau. Impressed marks 50, Kayserzinn, 4081 and an incised P. Height "3¼/ 8,5 cm. Condition: a few nicks to the lower part of the vase as seen on photos.

Chinese box padlock with key, made of brass, probably c 1900. Finely engraved with a bird and a dragon, a bridge and a cottage. Length "1 ¾ / 4.3 cm. Condition: fine.

Fiddle dinner spoon from Hall & Elton (1839 -1890), Connectitcut, the pointed shape of the blade indicates mid 19th century. Hall & Elton is known to have made lots of silvered cutlery. However, this spoon is tested for a silver content of at least 830/1000 (= Swedish silver standard), and so probably is coin silver. Sterling silver was introduced 1870 in America. Length "8 ¾ / 22.5 cm, weight 45 grams. Condition: fine.

Three English silver fiddle serving spoons, all three made in London. One is Georgian, the other two Victorian. Spoon with engraved N has year marks for 1841 and makers mark GA for George William Adams, engraved JJH 1842, makers mark RB for Richard Britton and AVW 1829, makers mark JH for Jonathan Hayne. Length "8 ¾ - 9/ 22.5 – 23 cm, weight altogether 213 grams. Condition: fine.

An English early Victorian tole tray, black with gilt Neo Rococo border. Four reserves of exotic country buildings and elegant ladies in dresses and hairstyles from the years around 1840. Measures: " 16 /40,5 and " 13 ¼ / 34 cm. Condition: wear consistent with age (cf. pics).

Small and beautiful silver basket bowl made in Germany c 1890. Empire style boat shape, the reticulated and engraved decoration in Rococo style with flowers and rocaille ornaments. Marks for Martin Meyer in Mainz, a leading German silversmith (1888 - ), producer of cutlery as well as Jugendstil jewelry. German control mark: crescent and crown plus 800 for the silver content. On the border a French importation mark, in use from 1864 to 1893: a small insect, a weevil...
