A plate decorated in the Wucai (five colours) or Famille verte palette with two Foo dogs playing in a garden. To the back an Artemisia leaf, indicating early Kangxi. However, overglaze blue like on this plate was introduced a bit later, so a date around 1700 is more likely. Diameter "8 ¾/ 22 cm. Condition: a piece of the rim is reglued and there are rim frits and a hairline (cf pics.).

A pair of silvered bronze tripods, Jue, an archaic type of vessel used for heating and serving wine, the shape originating from the early dynastic B C periods. These little elegant pair of Jue is from the early 19th century, made of silvered and engraved bronze or brass. They have obviously been used for other purposes, probably as salt cellars – hence the absence of the upright handles that were used to lift the vessel from the heat (cf pics)...

Chinese 20th c Famille Rose bowl, beautifully painted with chrysanthemum and pomegranates, in the “boneless” Yongzheng style. Hongxian mark in red. The quality of the decoration indicates that this bowl was produced not long after Hongxian’s short reign, 1915-16. Height: "2 ¼ /5,5 cm, diam: "4 ¾ /12 cm.
