A child's dinner service in Jugendstil, the German version of Art Nouveau. By Villeroy & Boch, c 1900. Tureen and lid, ecuelle, sauce boat, oval platter, six dinner plates and six soup plates, all silk screen printed in the Poppy pattern. This pattern was produced 1874 - 1909 and the mark on the back is for the Villeroy & Boch factory in Dresden, Germany (working from 1856 to 1945). Two stoneware /stein vases by Villeroy & Boch, Mettlach c 1850. Both modelled as naturalistic tree trunks, surrounded by grape vines with platinum gilding. Agate or marble ware, made up of contrasting clays. One vase with applied VB seal mark and model number 304, the other with the model number incised. Height "4/ 10,3 cm and appr. "4/ 10 cm. Condition: both with a hairline or crack, one with a small flake to the rim (cf. photos).

Six little fruit plates and a dish. German Majolica, c 1900, unmarked, with palmettos in light blue surrounding a relief-moulded twig of leaves and apples. The colours are lighter on the dish and three of the plates than on the rest. Diam: "6¼/ 16 cm and "9 1/2/ 24 cm. Condition: wear to the outer rim on two of the plates.
