A French lavishly decorated urn-shaped vase with handles, c 1850 in Rococo Revival style. The foot and bowl in the classical manner have been made separately and are joined by brass and iron parts (extra photos transmitted on demand). The abundant decoration on front and back is matched by the brilliant blue of the undecorated sides. The style and standard of the design and decoration of this unmarked vase is typical of the production of Jacob Petit (1796-1865). Height: 27 cm...

A group of pink lusterware made by Allerton, Staffordshire: slop bowl, two cups and three saucer bowls, all decorated with the Dahlia flowers typical of Charles Allerton & Sons, c 1860-70. Pattern numbers (?) 22, 707 and 701. Diameter of slop bowl "5½ / 14 cm, height of cups "2 ½ / 6.5 cm, diameter of saucers c. "5½ / 14 cm. Condition: wear to part of the decoration, nick to the foot rim of the slop bowl, one saucer with a hairline (cf. pics).

Alt Wien / Old Vienna dish or plate – originally a stand for a vase or small tureen – with sparse decoration of stylized little tulips within a dark red border. The modern-looking design is a deceiver: the shape of the Royal Vienna Porcelain factory underglaze blue shield mark on the base shows a production date in the Empire period around 1800. Diameter "9 ½ / 24 cm. Condition: two small spots of glaze wear to the center, from the foot rim of vase or tureen.

A feather or shell edge plate beautifully enameled with scattered flowers in typical Rococo style. Late 18th century, made at the Royal Vienna Porcelain factory. Underglaze blue shield mark and painters mark in puce plus an impressed N, probably for Joseph Niedermeyer who was chief modeller 1747-1784. Diameter "9 ¾ / 24.5 cm. Condition: fine.

A Staffordshire redware teapot, c 1770, with sprigged Chinoiserie decoration of a pavillion and arcades. Impressed apocryphal seal mark of Thomas Barker, Fenton. No lid. Height "4½/ 11,2 cm, width "7¾/ 19 cm. Condition: fine.

A Grainger/Worcester small bulbous vase, hand painted with cowslip flowers and sprigs on a light green ground. Imprinted marks for Grainger / Worcester, pattern number G 161 and year mark D for 1893. Height "2 ¾/ 7 cm, width "3¼/ 8 cm. Condition: fine.

A thinly potted eggshell porcelain cup and two saucers. Enameled decoration of scrolls, Phoenix birds and temples in soft pastel shades. Arita, Japan, Edo period. Marked Zoshuntei (= shop), Sanpo Zo (made), for the factory of Hisatomi Yojibei Masatsune (1842 – 1870). Hisatomi was one of the first potters in Japan to be allowed to put his factory name on pieces intended for export from Arita. Height of cup "2 ½ / 6.5 and diameter "4/ 11 cm, diameter of saucers "5 ¾ / 14.5 cm...

Three dishes or small plates in orange, black and gold, depicting the Austrian coat of arms as it is seen on the Maria Theresienthaler coins. Made as replacements for broken parts of the service originally ordered from China for Jozef Anthon Johan of Austria and dated 1820, just after the Arch Duke had entered his third marriage. These dishes however are later. They were probably made in Europe around 1900. Diameter "6 3/4/17,5 cm...

Samson of Paris, 19th century: a large godrooned dish, hand painted in the style of Watteau with a courting couple in a pastoral landscape surrounded by flowers, Deutsche Blumen. Flat back with the gilt wheel mark for Höchst /Hoechst 1765-74. Diameter "10¼/ 26,3 cm. Condition: a chip to the rim (cf. pics).

Brown banko ware teapot, Japan, late Meiji / early Showa. Unglazed, with the exception of the rim and the top of the handle hooks, some gilt to the molded decoration of a dragon and a lion dog. All handmade, with thumb marks to base and rim of lid. Height including lid "4 ½ / 11.5 cm. Condition: no bamboo handle, otherwise fine.

Superbly enamelled coffee can with a water landscape and fisherman next to a ruined castle. C 1800, probably Belgian (Vieux Bruxelles). Height: 2 ½”/6,5 cm. Saucer, contemporary but not belonging, provided without extra cost (see last photo). Condition: handle professionally mended.

A German 1820's cabinet cup and saucer with burnished and matte gilt decoration of Karl Friedrich Schinkel’s new theater building in Berlin, inaugurated in 1821 and nowadays concert hall. Inscribed “Das neue Schauspielhaus in Berlin”. Height "4½/ 11 cm. Condition: rubbing to the gilt on the saucer and inside the cup (cf. pics.).

Black basalt milk jug with an elegant leaf handle. Engine turned in a bamboo-like pattern. England, Wedgwood style, c 1800-1820. Height "4 ½ / 11.5 cm. Condition: hairline near the base of the handle (cf. pic).

A pair of blue and white plates, transfer printed with the temple of Serapis in Pozzuoli – also to be seen in the well in writing. One in a series of Italian and Sicilian Views produced by the Don Pottery in Swinton, Yorkshire, c 1820. Unmarked. Diameter "10 / 25.5 cm. Condition: hairline and rim chip to one plate (cf. pics).

Sugar bowl and lid, an early piece from the Boch manufacture in Luxembourg. Urn-shaped, with a stylized tulip border, the sides with mask “handles”, all in the Empire style of the late 18th / early 19th century. The base with the impressed circle mark BOCH A (LUXEMBOURG) that was in use 1813-1835. Height "5 ¼ / 13.3 cm. Condition: bowl with hairlines, repair to the lid.

A gilt and enamelled cup and saucer, inscribed “Don d’Amitié” (Gift of Friendship), French, c 1810-20. Height of cup including handle: 4 ¼”/10,8 cm, diam. of saucer: 4 ¼”/13,8 cm. Condition: some rubbing to gilding, esp. inside the cup.

Cup and saucer transfer printed in blue with the “Temple” pattern of a Chinese seascape and pagodas. Caughley, Shropshire, c 1780, the cup marked with an S in underglaze blue for Salopia (Shropshire’s old Roman name). Height of cup "2 ¾ / 7 cm, diameter of saucer "5 ½ / 13.5 cm Condition: small nick to the gilt rim of the saucer, at 6 o’clock in the last photo.
