A collection of antique Ethiopian silver jewels, most of them Coptic Christian crosses. There is also a digit finger ring for a lady, and an ear spoon. Old Ethiopian silver, like these crosses, usually has a very high silver content, but is not hall marked. However, all these items have been tested for a silver content of at least 925 /1000. Altogether they weigh 127 grams. Sizes: largest cross "3 ½ / 9.2 cm and the smallest "1 ½ / 3.7 cm, inner diameter of the ring "3/4/ 18.5 mm...

A set of ceramic jewelry by Alice Lund, Denmark, c 1960: brooch and clip on earrings, the glaze an intense orange, speckled. Impressed signature, illegible. Width of earrings "1/ 2.5 cm and of brooch "1 2/3/ 4.3 cm. Condition: repair to one earring (cf. pics).

Angel skin Coral bead necklace, graduated, the clasp with little glittering marcasites and silver standard mark 835. With two natural spots, and striped in mildly orange to pink shades. Length 46 cm, largest bead measuring 12 mm. Condition: fine

A pair of gold and agate baton cufflinks, the agate very dark, a brown strip visible when held towards the light. Made around 1920, French 18K hallmarks to the small links attached to the batons. Condition: fine.

Minimal Scottish terrier, jigsawed from silver sheet metal and wearing a copper collar. Made in Austria or Bohemia in the 1920’s or 30’s. The chain is later, stamped 835. The little dog is "1/2 / 14 mm long, the chain "16 / 41 cm. Condition: fine.

Elegant silver pin brooch with two cabochon cut amethyst stones surrounded by leaf vines in Art Nouveau / Jugendstil. Made in Germany c 1910 and marked 835 for the silver content. Swedish import mark (three crowns in an oval and S). Width "2/ 5.5 cm, height "3/4/ 1.8 cm. Condition: fine.

An English, Victorian slide locket. To both sides a design of water lilies with the floating contours of Art Nouveau. Lion passant, anchor mark for Birmingham, date mark for 1901, and maker’s mark ESB (?). A ridge inside the locket indicates that it might have been equipped with a mirror. Diameter "1 ½ / 4 cm. Condition: fine.

Elegant modernist screw-back earrings in sterling silver and jacaranda. Swedish, by Arvo Saarela. Marked AMS for Saarela, the assay mark of Enköping (the town where AS and his wife Maria ran their studio 1948-78), Swedish silver hallmark and D9 for 1954. Length "1¼/ 3,2 cm. Condition: fine.

Modernist abstract 1960’s cufflinks. Polish standard mark for a silver content of 800 and two additional makers marks. Maximum width "¾ / 2 cm. Condition: fine.

Elongated drop earrings, Aventurine black and gold glass with a swirl. Bohemian, c 1900. Height "1 ¾ / 4 cm. Condition: fine.

Bolo tie, leather and silver with an Aztec warrior and inlay of blue turquoise chips. Marked Mexico and 925, probably made c 1960. Height of the silver slide "1 ½ / 4 cm, length of cord "43 / 110 cm. Condition: some tarnish.

Black and white – early Op Art – buttons and clasp, c 1930. Four buttons and a belt clasp fixed to their original card marked “La Mode”, all with three layers (black-white-black) of plastic material and cut-through effects. The card marked Germany. Diameter of clasp "1 ½ / 4 cm. Condition: fine.

Traditional Balinese bangle and ring, sterling silver with silver pearl filigree and gold inlay. 1950’s (?), marked 925 and 22 K. The inner width of the bangle is "2 ½ / 6.8 cm, inner diameter of the ring "2/3/ 18 mm. Condition: some wear to the bangle’s gold inlay (cf. pics).

Honey colored amber brooch, made in Königsberg / Kaliningrad in the 1950’s. Four leaves and a gold-filled shaft with a Russian / Soviet hallmark. Width "1 ¾ / 4.5 cm. Condition: tip of one leaf with minimal damage (cf. pics).

A pair of geometric modernist sterling silver bangles, by Danish silversmith Helge Arthur Bang. Bang worked only for a short period (1962-73) and his works are rare. Makers’ mark HE BA, Sterling 925 S and Swedish import marks (three crowns and S), weight 17 grams. Inner diameter "2 ½/ 6,5 cm. Condition: fine.

Silver brooch or pin, Skonvirke style with a carnelian cabochon, A mock medal design, to be fastened to a ribbon and sewn on to your dress or jacket. Made by Bernhard Hertz, well-known jewelry designer working in Copenhagen and in Stockholm at the turn of the century 1900. Early Danish silver standard mark 826, early Bernhard Hertz dragonfly mark, B H and S. Height "2/ 5 cm. Condition: fine.

A sterling silver “Sirene” ring, an early 70’s design by Björn Weckström, Lapponia. Sterling silver, partly gilt (the cavity is gilt, difficult to photograph). Stamped 925 twice (European and Finnish stamp), the small Lapponia mark, H8 for 1985 and Lapponia. Inner diameter "½ / 17 mm. Condition: fine.

Porcelain pendant with decorative figural ornament in gilt in the style so typical of Bjorn /Björn Wiinblad (1918 – 2006), the Danish artist who designed posters and textiles, and cutlery, ceramics and glass for Rosenthal, Germany. Width "2/ 5.2 cm. Condition: fine.
