Cake knife and server by Just Andersen, Denmark. In the Skonvirke style, a Danish version of Art Déco, c 1930. The pewter handles with their scroll and shell decoration are stamped with the Just A triangle, Danmark and 93 %. The blades made of steel, the server stamped Stainless. Length "8/ 20,5 cm and "10½/ 26,5 cm. Condition: fine.

Cigarette case in silvered brass, obviously one of Maria Pergay’s belt buckle boxes. The cork lined interior possibly covers a stamp from the French producer. MP (1930 -) is famous for her furniture and objects in steel and brass, the design of which constitute highlights of refined but humoristic simplicity. Early production, 1950’s. Length "8/ 20,5 cm, width "4½/ 11 cm and height "1/ 2,8 cm. Condition: wear to the silvered surface of the cover (cf. pics).

Flapper necklace, a sautoir (Fr. sauter = to throw) made up of minimal black glass beads and an 18 carat gold tube with Swedish hallmarks and year mark for 1925. Length "67/ 170 cm. Condition: one or two irregularities due to loss of beads. Enough black beads of the same size and nuance will be included to make the necklace look perfect and as new again.

A purple bowl of swirl shape in the style of Beranek – Skrdlovice – or Klinger – Zelezny Brod Sklo /ZBS. The Czech glassworks like many other industries were nationalised. This bowl originally must have been produced for the Skoda car factory since it bears the Skoda mark (in use from 1929). Length "5½/ 14 cm. Five small dishes from Hamelner Töpferei, Germany, c 1920. The colourful Art Déco design of stylized flowers is likely by Gertrud Kraut who worked for this Werkbund-related Töpferei (pottery / kiln). Hameln was the scene of the classic fairy tale of the Pied Piper or Rattenfänger and so the products of the pottery are signed with HT and a small rat. Diameter "3/ 7,5 cm and height "¾/ 2 cm.
