Cigarette case in silvered brass, obviously one of Maria Pergay’s belt buckle boxes. The cork lined interior possibly covers a stamp from the French producer. MP (1930 -) is famous for her furniture and objects in steel and brass, the design of which constitute highlights of refined but humoristic simplicity. Early production, 1950’s. Length "8/ 20,5 cm, width "4½/ 11 cm and height "1/ 2,8 cm. Condition: wear to the silvered surface of the cover (cf. pics).

A silver spoon, the shape of traditional Russian type with a long handle and egg-shaped bowl, the modernist pattern pointing towards the 1960’s. Russian (Soviet era) hallmark 875 with star and Cyrillic B plus and another mark with the letters B and Yu. Length "6½/ 16,5 cm. Condition: a few scratch marks to the gilt bowl.

A pair of sterling silver salts in the shape of cracked eggs, the exterior being matt polished and the interior gilt. A charming 19th Century ”novelty” design. These salts are somewhat later and were probably made as copies of an existing set. Marks for the town of Turku and Finnish silver standard hallmark 813H, maker’s mark for Kultateollisuus and year mark C6 for 1932. Height ”1¾/ 4 cm. Condition: some stains (cf pictures), could do with professional cleaning.

Simple and beautiful silver beaker or small vase with flaring rim and a neat “pearl” border at the base. Made by Van Kempen, Begeer & Vos (1919-60), purveyors to the Dutch Court. Marks: KBV, Dutch silver marks for 835 and year mark for 1921. Height "3¼/ 8 cm. Condition: small dent 2 centimeters from the base (cf photo).
