Impressive Aztec or Inca design ceramic brooch from around 1950, turquoise and gilt glazed. Distance between the wing tips "2 ¼ / 5.5 cm. Security clasp. Condition: fine

Interesting early Deco gilt metal pendant of Chinese shape. The front with an enameled motif of a lady with Chinese hairstyle busy with needlework in front of a smoking scenser, all within a keyfret border. The back with a cracked ice border surrounding a willow tree and ducks in a pond. Probably French, around 1920. Width "1 ½ / 3.7 cm. Condition: fine, except for a darker spot to the back, visible from a certain angle (cf. last photo).

Circular brooch, slightly curved, the abstract design in black on a yellow gold shimmering background. Typical of the work of Öystein Balle, interesting Norwegian silversmith. Marked Balle 925 S, the hook with Swedish import mark (three crowns in an oval and S). Diameter "1 ½ / 4.5 cm. Condition: fine.

Flapper necklace, a sautoir (Fr. sauter = to throw) made up of black seed beads and an 18 carat gold tube with Swedish hallmarks and year mark for 1925. Length "67/ 170 cm. Condition: one or two irregularities due to loss of beads. Enough black beads of the same size and nuance will be included to make the necklace look perfect and as new again.

French Art Déco gilt copper brooch or pin, c 1930-40. Elegant design of a troubadour, a lute-player in medieval costume. Height "2/ 5 cm. Condition: fine.

A boldly geometrical flapper necklace from the 1920’s, made up of large circular shiny black celluloid elements, a design likely to rattle in rhythm with any Charleston band. Length "44/ 110 cm, diameter of circles"1 2/3/ 4.2 cm. Condition: fine.There is a lock (cf. photo 2), so the sautoir can be worn double.

Handsewn, very neat little crocodile cuff links, English, c 1930 -1950 or earlier. Measures "½ x ½ / 12x 12 mm. Condition: fine.

Ivorine and faux tortoise hair comb, unsigned, c 1940 or earlier. Height "5/ 12.5 cm. Condition: fine.

A necklace in the jewelry style first made popular by the Komai family, damascened in silver and 24 K gold, made in the 1940’s or 50’s. Length "15 / 38 cm. Condition: fine.

Japanese cufflinks, etched and gilt copper, c 1930’s. Decoration in Komai style of pagodas in a seascape, Mt Fujii in the background, the back buttons with minimal flowers. Height "½ / 18 mm. Condition: fine.

A pair of dress clips made of matted glass and chrome in the "industrial" or “machine” style of the 1930's. Length "3/ 7.7 cm, diameter "1/ 2.8 cm. Condition: fine.

A striking white celluloid flapper necklace from the 1920’s, the profile of the pendant in the orientalist or “Persian” style of this period. Length "32 / 80, plus pendant "3 / 7.5 cm. Condition: fine.

Copper and enamel pendant, an early piece by Finnish Pentti Sarpaneva (1925-78). PS, a brother of Timo S, started out as a graphic artist. In his thirties he became a designer of jewels. The “eye” enclosed in a round or square shape is a recurrent theme in his jewelry designs. The little spikes are mobile. Another pendant with an “enamel eye” has recently been seen on the net, signed Pentti Sarpaneva and Hand Made. This pendant, however, is unsigned. Width "1 ½ / 4 cm...

Enamel on copper pendant with chain, silver foliated and enamelled in olive green with a nebulosa shape, typical of the years around 1960. Unsigned, but undoubtedly by Jytte Borg, Stockholm, who designed and produced the best enamel costume jewelry in Sweden of the 1950’s and 60’s. Height "2/ 5.5 cm, the length of the copper chain is "27 ½ / 70 cm. Condition: fine.

Enamel on copper pendant with chain by Jytte Borg. Enamelled in orange, green and blue with an abstract flower or star shape, typical of the years around 1960. Signed Jytte. The best costume enamel jewelry in Sweden of the 1950’s and 60’s was designed and produced by Jytte Borg, Stockholm. Height "2/ 5.5 cm, the length of the copper chain is "25 ½ / 65 cm. Condition: fine.

Flapper necklace, a sautoir (Fr. sauter = to throw) made up of minimal glassbeads in an intense orange shade, the tassels red-orange. From the Charleston era, 1920’s. Length "53/ 135 cm. Condition: fine.

Small silver bow earrings by Karl Erik Palmberg for Alton, renown makers of Swedish modernist jewelry. KEP was Alton’s chief designer. Width "1/2 / 14 mm. Marks: KP, F for the town of Falköping where Alton was based, the Swedish hallmark (three crowns and S) and year mark X8 for 1948. Condition: fine.
