A large and wide jar by Marcello Fantoni, Firenze (Florence), c 1960 or earlier. The clay heavily chamotted, the glaze mainly a turquoise or Rimini blue shade, with some raw orange-coloured spots. Signed Fantoni Italy (meaning the jar was not produced for Raymor for which it otherwise would have been signed). Height "3¾/ 10 cm, diameter of base "8/ 19,5 cm. Condition: fine. The third photo shows the jar together with a Fantoni jar in another Global Ceramics presentation.

A pair of absolutely incredible smoking pipe trays with cork tappers, Italian, dating from the 1950’s. Made of pottery and covered with gilt leather, beautifully patinated though obviously scarcely used. Designed as bird’s heads, faintly resembling the Egyptian god Thoth.
