A large and wide jar by Marcello Fantoni, Firenze (Florence), c 1960 or earlier. The clay heavily chamotted, the glaze mainly a turquoise or Rimini blue shade, with some raw orange-coloured spots. Signed Fantoni Italy (meaning the jar was not produced for Raymor for which it otherwise would have been signed). Height "3¾/ 10 cm, diameter of base "8/ 19,5 cm. Condition: fine. The third photo shows the jar together with a Fantoni jar in another Global Ceramics presentation.

Made of heavily chamotted white clay, the rim covered with a smooth white glaze, then thin dark brown followed by dripping green over blue. Signed Fantoni Italy (meaning the vase was not produced for Raymor for which it then would have been signed). Height "6½/ 17 cm. Condition: some wear to the black glaze around the base, and a nick to the rim (cf pics).

Five small dishes from Hamelner Töpferei, Germany, c 1920. The colourful Art Déco design of stylized flowers is likely by Gertrud Kraut who worked for this Werkbund-related Töpferei (pottery / kiln). Hameln was the scene of the classic fairy tale of the Pied Piper or Rattenfänger and so the products of the pottery are signed with HT and a small rat. Diameter "3/ 7,5 cm and height "¾/ 2 cm. A pair of demitasse or mocha cups and saucers by Zsolnay, Pecs, probably 1930’s. Hand painted decoration of flowers in pastel shades and gilt on a buff background. Zsolnay mark in underglaze blue, the saucers with the overglaze mark of the logotype of Ikarus, the great Hungarian bus company (est. in 1895). An English sugar bowl by Maling, together with three small Maling plates or ashtrays, all lustreware in the Venice scenes pattern, 1950-1955. Maling, known for their lustre glaze patterns ceased their production in 1963. All four pieces with the castle mark used from the 1920’s to 1963.
