A blue and white transfer printed plate with the Boy on a Buffalo pattern - one of the first Chinese patterns to be "translated" by the English potteries and first used by Spode c 1795, soon also by other potters. The specific border used for this pattern adapts itself well to the lobed shape of the rim. Around 1800, unmarked, possibly Spode. Diam: "8 ¾ / 22 cm. Condition: fine.

A Georgian bucket bowl wine glass with panel-cut cup and stem, English, c 1800. Polished pontil. Height: "4 ½/ 11 cm. Condition: a minimal nick to the base as shown in photo.

Two Georgian bucket bowl port or small wine glasses with panel-cut cups and stems, English, c 1800. One a little heavier than the other and with the pontil mark deep into the glass and partly visible, whereas to the other glass the pontil mark is polished flat. Height: "4/ 10 cm. Condition: fine.

A blue and white Chinese plate from the Kanghsi period (1662-1722). Border panels of flowering branches, in the centre a garden fence motif. The back with flower sprigs, double circles and hua, symbol of righteousness. Diam: "8 ¼ / 21 cm. Condition: fine.

Earthenware relief-moulded dish by Söholm on the isle of Bornholm, Denmark. Late 19th century, typical of this factory’s early production. Moulded decoration of laurel leaves and an old couple in classical style, the design inspired by Danish sculptor Thorvaldsen. Diam: "10/ 26 cm. Condition: slight wear to parts of the figures in the centre.

A cylindrical cup and saucer from the Amstel factory, decorated in the style of Nicolas Wicart (1748-1815) with cottage people in a landscape and with gilt borders. The Amstel factory was working 1784-1814, and the underglaze blue mark "Amstel" on this cup and saucer was used up till 1809. Height: "2 1/2 / 6,5 cm, diam. of saucer "5 ¼ / 13,5 cm. Condition: crack and restoration to the cup and the saucer has a restored flake, as seen in pictures.

A beautiful pair of scissor shaped sugar nips or tongs, with shell bowls. Silver, probably Irish, Rococo style, late 18th century. Unmarked, like most early sugar nips. Width: "6 ¼/ 16 cm. Condition: the joint is somewhat unsteady, and apparently these sugar nips have not been restored.

A sterling silver bowl by Frank Whiting, c 1900, with a splendid hibiscus and scroll-work border, the style of which combines Rococo and Art Nouveau. Engraved monogram CN or NC. Diam: "5 ¾ / 14,5 cm, as indicated by the back stamp, which also includes the Whiting lion mark and 6072. Condition: fine.

Japanese hair or hat pin with flower finial, mid 19th century. Three stamped hallmarks, two of them similar. Length: "3 ¼ / 8 cm. Condition: fine.
