A decorative black lacquer box by the Ryukyu Lacquer Ware Company, c 1920. The inside red, the knobbed lid with a carved lacquer banana plant - flowers, fruit and leaves - in colours. Stamped company mark. Diameter: "3 ¾ / 9,7 cm. Condition: small nick to the rim of box and lid (cf. picture).

A small plate, for the tea ceremony, depicting three beautiful leaves against a silver foliated background. Cloisonné enamel on copper by Ando, Japan, probably 1950’s. Diameter "4 ½ / 11,6 cm. Condition: fine.

Two Satsuma beakers of cylindrical shape, Kyoto ware. Both with stamped Ryozan-like mark in gold. Moriage decoration of birds and maple leaves in gilt and colours against a crackle-glaze pale beige background, c 1930. Height: "3 ½ /9,5 cm. Condition: minimal rim chip to one beaker.

Chinese plate from the last century, c 1950's. Decoration in Famille Rose colours of a mountainous river landscape, with a small palace, a water mill and a boat. Printed mark in red: China. Diam: "9 ¾ /24,5 cm. Condition: some wear to the gilt border, otherwise fine.

Figurine of Cai Shen, God of Prosperity, with his sceptre, c 1930 or possibly 1944. Enamelled in Famille Rose colours, the face left unglazed but painted. Impressed Chinese lettering to the base, and 44. Height: "5 ½ /14 cm. Condition: fine.

A cylindrical vase or small easel stand, c 1900 – 1920. High relief decoration of blossoming prunus and a butterfly mainly in the Sancai palette, green and puce on a yellow ground, all in the style of 19th c artist Wang Bingrong. Height: "5 ¼ /13 cm. Condition: hairline, otherwise fine.
