A Gerotin pewter letter opener or paper knife c 1930, with relief decoration of a dolphin, the whole design a happy marriage between Renaissance and Art Déco. Gero, the producer of Gerotin, was a Dutch manufacturer of metal-ware, in 1922 sold to Denmark. Gero's Georg Nilsson, the designer of this book knife, was strongly influenced by his former teacher, Georg Jensen. Length: "9 ¾/ 24,5 cm. Condition: some scratch marks as seen on photo.

Chinese egg-shell thin vase of Meiping shape, finely painted in Qianlong style and Famille Rose colours with panels depicting a lady with a fan, another with a book towards a turquoise background with scrollwork and peony. Ruyi and other classical Chinese borders. Apocryphal Qianlong mark, stamped in red. Height: "6 ½ / 17 cm. Condition: hairline and two nicks to inside of foot-rim. A large piece has been broken and glued back. In need of professional restoration.

An Austrian bronze bottle stopper by Walter Bosse and Herta Baller, Vienna, c 1950. Modeled as a happy and sleepy drunkard, bottle in hand, leaning onto a sagging lamp post. Cork stopper still in place, stamped inscription: Henkes Delfshaven Holland. Henkes was a Dutch gin/genever producer. Height including cork: "3 ¾ / 9,5 cm. Condition: fine.

A black and silver metal mesh evening bag, 1930's, probably French. Zig-Zag pattern, lock with chain and a transparent glass bead, White, ring-shaped plastic handle. Length:"8 ¾/ 22 cm. Condition: fine.

A bronze mortar and pestle, for mustard and/or spice, by Baller, Austria, 1950's. The mortar of typically modernist oval shape, the pestle irregularly four-sided and curved. Width: "3 ½ / 9 cm. Condition: fine.

An Italian 1950's whimsical bottle-shaped vase, Fantoni style. Covered with dark green leather, leaving two reserves with enamelled still life decoration of, to one side, fruit and to the other a group of vessels in modernist style, the interior blue-glazed. Unmarked. Height: "9 ½ /24 cm. Condition: fine.

A bottle-shaped earthenware vase by Gambone, Italy, 1950's. Lava glaze with mother-of pearl or lustre finish, decoration of a few leaves and fir tree twigs. Signed with donkey, Gambone and Italy. Height: "7 ¼ /18,5 cm. Condition: fine.

An American Homer Laughlin souvenir plate from the 1939 Golden Gate International Exposition. Gilt edge and Art Déco border depicting exposition pavilions from all parts of the world, in the centre and on top San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge and the setting sun. Diam: "10/ 25,5 cm. Condition: a few scratch marks.

An octagonal Dutch Delft dish or bowl of fluted form, made in Makkum, c 1940-60. Polychrome painted decoration of "Indian" flowers in reserves. Pierced for wall hanging. Marks: double T (for Tichelaar = tile maker) and Makkum (the Royal factory in Makkum). Diam: "10 ¼ / 26 cm. Condition: fine.

An Italian small handled pot by Giovanni Desimone, c 1960. Decoration of "Picassoesque" fishes in yellow, orange, red and green over white. Interior "sauce limit" line in blue. Diam: /12,5 cm, height: "2/ 5 cm. Condition: fine.

An Italian Art Déco majolica flower pot by Cantagalli, c 1930. Flower pot and saucer in one, three pierced holes for draining excessive water from the pot. Decoration of a modelled zigzag band in yellow and two stylized flower sprigs in green, mauve and yellow. Marked with the singing cockerel of Cantagalli, "Italy" and a star. Height: "3 ½/ 8,5 cm.
