A Gerotin pewter letter opener or paper knife c 1930, with relief decoration of a dolphin, the whole design a happy marriage between Renaissance and Art Déco. Gero, the producer of Gerotin, was a Dutch manufacturer of metal-ware, in 1922 sold to Denmark. Gero's Georg Nilsson, the designer of this book knife, was strongly influenced by his former teacher, Georg Jensen. Length: "9 ¾/ 24,5 cm. Condition: some scratch marks as seen on photo.

Chinese egg-shell thin vase of Meiping shape, finely painted in Qianlong style and Famille Rose colours with panels depicting a lady with a fan, another with a book towards a turquoise background with scrollwork and peony. Ruyi and other classical Chinese borders. Apocryphal Qianlong mark, stamped in red. Height: "6 ½ / 17 cm. Condition: hairline and two nicks to inside of foot-rim. A large piece has been broken and glued back. In need of professional restoration.
