Nice mosaic pottery tazza by Gerbino, France. The handling of clays in various colours necessary for the creation of this kind of art objects was a complicated procedure, mastered only by Jean Gerbino and his family in Vallauris, the French art pottery centre. For this tazza a green clay has been used, introduced 1975 by a pupil of Jean Gerbino, Yvan Koenig. Impressed marks Gerbino and Vallauris. Height "3½/ 9 cm, diameter "6/ 15 cm. Condition: fine

Beautiful cup and saucer by Jacob Petit in Fontainebleau, France, c 1840. Shape and decoration in English Rococo revival style, very much en vogue at the time. Saucer and exterior a pale turquoise, the interior lavishly decorated with roses and rocaille ornaments in enamel colours and gilt. Under-glaze blue mark J P. Height of cup and saucer "2 ¼ / 6 cm, diameter of cup "4/ 10 cm. Condition: some wear to the gilt borders and a few negligible nicks to the inner side of the foot rim (cf. photo).

A blue and white transfer printed plate with the Boy on a Buffalo pattern - one of the first Chinese patterns to be "translated" by the English potteries and first used by Spode c 1795, soon also by other potters. Nice triple relish ensemble by Axel Bruel (1900 - 1977), consisting of a trefoil-shaped centre piece with knob handle, and three plates. Decoration of vigorously painted flower sprigs in green over White, 1950's. Diameter of plates "6¾/ 17,5 cm, width of centerpiece "10¾/ 28 cm. Condition: a glaze flake to the edge of the knob, otherwise fine.

Large stoneware dish or bowl by Inger Persson for Swedish Rorstrand. Geometrical star-like pattern and scarce glaze in earth colours. IP worked for Rörstrand between 1959 and 1971 and again in the 1980's and 90's. This item is from her first period at Rörstrand. Incised marks: three crowns, R and Sweden, ip and Ateljé (=studio). Diameter "10¾/28 cm. Condition: fine.
