Two interesting German Art Déco pieces from Carstens Uffrecht, c 1930, a small dish/ ashtray and a larger dish. Orange and blue geometric decoration against a mottled white ground, both on stands of distinct, sculptural shape. Diam: 8"/ 20 cm and width of smaller dish: 6”/15 cm. Condition: restored chip to rim on the larger dish at 10 o’clock.

Under glaze blue eagle mark and C.T. (1875-1920, merged with Hutschenreuther in 1918). Height: 2 ½"/ 6,5 cm, diam. of saucer: 4 ½"/ 11,5 cm. Condition: some gilt rubbing,esp. to the inside of the cup, otherwise fine.

Six little fruit plates and a dish, German Majolica or French Barbotine, c 1900, unmarked. In the border four palmettos in light blue around a centre motif of a relief-moulded twig of leaves and apples. The colours are lighter on the dish and three of the plates than on the rest. Hamlet for the Charivari or some other satirical journal.
