| Two pretty vases by Samson, in the Famille rose palette, imitating the style of Chinese export porcelain of the mid-18th century, the Qianlong period. The two have been used as a pair, even though the gilt borders are not quite identical. Both marked with an over-glaze pseudo-Chinese mark in iron red, typical of Samson. Height: "4 ¾ / 12 cm. Condition: minimal nick to underside of foot rim to one vase, otherwise fine. | ||
