| A pair of silver plated jugs: one for coffee, the other for milk, both English and from the Arts & Crafts period. Bean ends to the lid handles, in the style of Christopher Dresser. Christopher Dresser is thought to have originated the idea of coffee beans as a design motif and many fin-de-siècle silver plated utensils with wooden coffee beans (such as the coffee spoons in pic 1) are attributed to Dresser. Both jugs have been re-plated. Marks for Hukin & Heath Ltd and model number 7018 to one jug, both marked 1 O. From 1978 up to the 1890’s Dresser made designs for H & H.
