| A plate from the Vue Anglaise-suite by Creil: Chateaux the Cheswick comté de Middlesex/ Chiswick House in Middlesex. On the back: Médaille d'Argent Par Brevet d'Invention et de Perfectionnement, Paris, Exposition de 1819. Manuf:e d'Impression sur Faience Porcelaine & Procédé de l'Inventeur Legros D'Anizy / Silver medal by patented invention and perfection, Paris, the exhibition 1819. Produce of such transfer printing on faience and porcelain as has been invented by Legros D'Anizy (who actually developed this very exact method of transfer printing in France). Diam: "9/ 23 cm. Condition: restored rim chip and a scratch mark to the well. A second plate with the same inscription, from the Vue de Suisse-suite, with secured cracks (cf. photo) will be the buyer's bonus. | ||
