Black Glaze Ware Bowl from Northern China. People's Republic of China official export stamp, inside center of bowl. These beautiful dark wares were produced in Northern China for a very long period of time, dating from at least the Yuan Dynasty. The era of production of this bowl is unknown, although certainly pre 1850. Six inches in diameter by three and a half inches tall. Excellent condition. Beautiful tone.

Chinese Antique Cloissone Dragon Bowl from the early 1900's. Depicts a five clawed dragon in vivid colors on a black background. It is 6.5" wide and 2.25" high. The bottom is marked "China". Between the late 19th century until 1920 all Chinese items that were to be imported into the US were required to be marked with the word "CHINA" as the country of origin. From 1919 on the word "CHINA" was replaced with "Made in China"
