Victorian and Georgian fobs , all intricately engraved, are connected to a 15ct bracelet making an original, antique charm bracelet. The charms are large, strong and dramatic. Each is different from the other I had a fob charm bracelet two years ago and hoped ever since to find another. These bracelets are unique and fun to wear and many requests came in the first time around. All but one of these fobs has a carnelian base, two of which have engraved intaglios of classical men with helmets in profile. One fob has a base of bloodstone. All but one of the fobs is Victorian with repousse engraving. All are three dimensional with all around design. Each is over an inch in length with the largest, the Georgian, being 2 inches long. One, the central geometric fob with black enamel is Georgian, 19th century. Enjoy each enlargement to see the detailing of every fob. One forms a helmeted man kneeling and playing a horn. The others are designed with various symmetrical curves and bridges. The Georgian fob resembles the architecture of the Eiffel Tower. Its enamel design is beautiful. The bracelet has alternating engraved and smooth links. The clasp is Victorian. 7 1/2 inches in length. Excellent condition. From the Glorious Antique Jewelry Collection

Banded agate is a constant reminder of the wonder of nature, a force to which the Victorians gave much attention and sentiment. In this pair of chandelier earrings, a stone cutter took parts of the agate that had similar patterns then sculpted and formed beautiful, smooth amphora drops that are absolutely thrilling. The colors, strong and magnificent gleam, accented here and there by lines and swirls of white. The gold is 15kt. No, they are not heavy. The condition is perfect. Foiled stones in a beautiful combination of pink and aquamarine are set in 15 kt gold sealed settings in the typical Georgian manner. Notice the beautiful setting creating a frame around the stones and the rounded pillow like backs. Between the stone and the gold is a thin layer of foil that enhances the color and catches all available light. You will recall that Georgian jewelry was made by hand regardless of the painstaking work. The pink stones are pink topaz or pink crystal. The colors enhance any woman regardless of skin tone or hair color. The shepherds hook ear wire was added many years ago for comfort and ease of insertion to the ear. Set in 14kt gold, the agates were cut and set with a master's hand. Carved out of and polished from larger stones, the jeweler took the time to reach artistic heights by matching each stone for color, each size and every glow. The usual brown and black agate is here more orange and black with white. I kept returning to look at it, captivated by this simple form so beautifully embellished. A wondrous piece of jewelry for the religious or all interested in jewelry history of the ages. Perfect Condition. From the Glorious Jewelry Collection

The form and condition of these Victorian earrings is perfect from top orb to clamper below. Smooth shining bells, the symbol of friendship and peace are made from Jet from the city of Whitby England. They will move as you do but will not put weight on your ears or cause ringing to disconcert you. The shepherd hook ear wires are 15kt gold. The town of Whitby was the primary source of jet jewelry that became a court necessity when Prince Albert died unexpectedly. Queen Victoria would allow no color jewelry other than black in her presence. Jet then became an object of fashion for the populace, creating a need and source of income for the town of Whitby and English jewelers. c1860-70#3536

A delight in 18kt gold is the oh so popular Victorian serpent motif. I have seen women wear three on one hand!. Serpent rings were gifted for engagement and friendship. Here is a cheerful example as the serpent appears to be smiling. Why not, she ( my choice of gender) is a symbol of eternal bond and affection. This ring is particularly comfortable and graceful as the coils are spaced apart. You will find that your eyes travel to your finger in admiration. Size 6. Immaculate condition

The bloodstone spinning section of this gold engraved fob is sprinkled with red spots and is bevelled creating a higher center. This fob is handsome. Outstanding is more accurate as the repousee engraving on the gold and the proportion of the whole is beautiful indeed. The puffy engraving covers the gold other than the top suspension ring. Puffiness is accomplished by pushing the gold into design from the back. Multiple uses for a fob today are wearing one on a watch chain, suspending it on a chain creating a pendant, or attaching it to a charm bracelet. The condition is superb. English c. 1860-70

The detail here is superb. The quality never replicated to my eyes and in my years. Inverted blue hearts or shields suspend urns of blue and white enamel drawn on 18kt gold. Small gold beads are applied to the top and to the lowest point of each triangle and can be seen from behind where the gold is not enameled. As urns often do, these have handles, here fashioned of twisted gold. Shepherds hooks hold the earrings securely in the ear. The weight is light and comfortable. Condition is immaculate.

Enlarging is a must! Beautiful as all Georgian chains are, we were thrilled to see the braided, entwined tightness and sturdiness of these 15kt gold textured links. Long chains were worn by men and women. Often worn dropping to the waist, doubled, and in combination with numerous other jewels, the wealthy added a large brooch, multiple rings and large earrings. The golden clasp on this chain is a jewel on its own. It is fashioned as a hand with a ruffled floral cuff set with natural turquoise. Turquoise, when natural, responds to the touch by changing to a darker tone. The stone touched most often during clasping shows the change, but the color difference is not as intense to the eye as it is to the camera. Condition is excellent

The fine quality of the above natural pearl and banded agate locket made me stop in my tracks when I glanced in a London shop window. The border glows with the luster of the pearls in their tiara settings of high carat gold. A large convex natural agate is set center as if on a pedestal. Victorians were passionate about nature and the use of natural materials is an example of that passion. They had the knack of cutting the banded stones in the way that made them unique jewels. The locket back calls for your keepsake making this pendant your personal treasure. The chain, offered separately, has been sold. Locket in Perfect Original Condition

Prisms of pique work were carefully incised with flower forms that then were filled with silver and gold. This is delicate work that was performed by artists in the latter quarter of the 19th century, c. 1870 most often in France or Russia. This art form was done for a short period of the Victorian era and as there is no fine reproduction today, These are medium length earrings, wearable and very light in weight. The condition is perfect.

Visually striking on the finger, this fine cameo is set in 18kt gold bezel with a 9kt shank. Psyche is finely carved from the white of the onyx and rises from the black background. This detailed miniature work was a talent of Italian jewelers. It amazes me how the carving is so delicate as to create hair on the head of a figure or drapes in clothing while bringing out one color only from the stone. Dating to 1870-80. Origin Italy.
