A perfect image of a "Westie", bright eyed and impish. The white terrier with perky ears, has a look as if he were saying "what did I do now?" The ring, an Essex Crystal or Reverse Crystal Intaglio was carved in reverse on the back of the crystal and done with excellent skill. Notice the tufts of the dog's hair and its endearing features. The art of reverse crystal carving into the depth of the stone creates a three dimensional image. See image 4 and 5. Color and detail were painted after the crystal was engraved. Around this dog is the prize he deserves, a ring of small diamonds. Set in 18kt gold, this ring is as winsome and the pet it portrays. This ring can be sized. Condition is Fine

Lilac jade is a color that pops on the finger. Pop it does in this cabouchon lilac stone cut on the oval and double framed in 18kt gold. The shoulders are architectural wings set with fourteen diamonds. Though the gemstone comes in many colors, lilac jade is rare, rarer in fact than nephrite jade. The traditional lore is that wearing lilac jade puts you in touch with your emotions. It gives well being to those who have been disappointed in affairs of the heart. The lovely gem weights approximately 7.5 kts. Size 6 1/2 and can be sized to fit most.

David Hennell was one of London's oldest silver smiths and jewelers. He originally made silver for nobility and the landed gentry. His son, Robert became a jeweler in the late 18th century. Rarely are rings found from the medieval ages. At this time nobility wore jewels of gold and silver. Base metal was worn by other classes. The English Emprire was ruled by Henry V11 when this ring was born. Symbolizing the amalgamation of the Lancaster and York noble factions, this silver band traveled time extremely well. The bezel is composed of two concave rectangular panels engraved with hearts and Tudor Roses. The shoulders display Tudor roses as well. Rays extend from the rose at the shoulders as if to symbolize that the sun never sets on the British Empire. All engraving is in excellent condition and is deeply and beautifully ingrained. A thrilling (difficult for me to part with ) object that wear will not damage. The Tudor dynasty existed from 1485 to 1603. This ring is currently size 7 3/4 US, Eng. P and 1/2. It is 1/4 in. wide and in excellent condition.

Gold and pink tones together are the rare colors most desirable in a Mabe pearl. It is this color mix that makes our ring breathtaking. The pearl rests in a nest of 14kt gold topped with full cut 5pt to 8pt modern diamonds white and shining. The brilliant diamonds have an estimated color of F-G. An additional diamond is set into each shoulder of the ring. The shank makes a presentation of the gemstones as it gradually broadens and becomes an architectural and sculptural base when it meets the floral nest of the girdle. This is a gem that is perfectly in step with elegant styles in women's fashions today but it has more to offer. It transcends trend and will be admired long after the large ring trend passes as it is beautifully proportioned and sublime. The pearl is an estimated 12.5 mm. The diameter of the circle in which the pearl rests is 3/4 of an inch wide. The ring girlde and pearl together sit 1/2 inch high on the finger. Not at all flashy, just simply fine and beautiful in quality. This ring is in perfect condition. It is size 6 and can be sized to fit. Mabe Pearls are made in the Mabe oyster when a nucleus is placed on the inner shell rather than inside the mollusk. The oyster then produces nacre, layer upon layer to cover the nucleus. The color that results varies from fine to breathtaking.

The moonstone, the star of this ring, sends flashes of color to the eye reminiscent of moonglow. A three dimensional array of peach and blue moves over the stone's surface.. Light rays are refracted from the gem's interior making the stone seem magical. Gemologists call this quality aduralescensce. Four old mine diamonds, bright and shining are the north, south, east and west stars. The moonstone is about 2 cts in weight. The total weight of the diamonds is approximately .60-65 cts. The curved, smooth shank is 18kt gold. This ring is size 5 1/4 and can be sized. Folklore about moonstones is abundant. They have historically been thought to have magical powers. Moonstones are the stones of lovers who, it is believed, remain faithful, attain the power of passion and gain good fortune from the gem. All this is good and in this case beautiful.

A strikingly beautiful memento mori ring that celebrates the memories and history of a family that inscribed the interior in 1788. A 1ct pear shaped old mine diamond is central in a surround of rose cuts on a diamond urn. The display is enhanced by warm cobalt blue enamel. Gold and silver were used together in this period and so both frame all the diamonds on the urn. The back is inscribed in lovely script "Ann Hay died 3d April 1788." This is a ring of beauty, history and honor. It is a thrill to offer it for sale in this superb condition. Size 8 - 8 1/2. Acanthus leaves cover the shoulders of this 19th century ring. They bloom with a powerful meaning of enduring life, healing and regeneration. Acanthus leaves were used on Corinthian columns in Greece. The same flowing forms are seen frequently in Georgian and Victorian jewelry, periods of history when sentiment and floral symbolism were part of life as was mans' connection to nature. This ring has presence. The leaves are deeply engraved in repousse, a form of engraving in which the metal is pushed forward from the back. The signet front bears handsome flowing initials which add to the story. A life was involved with this jewel. Made in sterling silver, it can be worn by men and women and is a worthy addition when worn with other interesting rings be they gold or silver. Excellent condition. Size 7 and can be sized up or down.

Colored sprinkles on vanilla gelato describe the beautiful milk toned opal. The stone is oval and covered withl sparks of pink, green, and white, to bring the celebratory spirit of July 4th to you all through the year. Can you recall the thrill of a kaleidescope when you first peeked inside? That memory came to me looking into this opal. The reeded 18kt ring shaft divides into sixteen prongs that hold the stone in place securely. The opal has no yellow in the tone though some computers may interpret the color as such. The width of the stone is 10/16ths of an inch. Currently a size 7. Excellent condition
