| Paul Lobel, an American a well known modernist jewelry designer, fashioned this sculptural french horn in sterling in a striking style and size. Lobel, a New York artist, made a series of jewelry in musical instrument forms. This french horn is one of his 1950's series. The curved bottom of the horn ends in a raised rim, a finish that gives it perspective and depth a Additionally striking is the creation of open space through which fabric will show. .When placed on a solid color background, this positive, negative aspect is sculptural.
