Geometry in Walnut and Silver Cuff Links

Sterling backed triangles of walnut bear a constellation of silver circles in a pair of handsome, comfortable, everyday cuff links, probably made in the United States. The cuff links date to the period of the 40's or 50's and may have been inspired by the ebony and silver jewelry of William Spratling, the person who embodied the fine Mexican jewelry of the 30's. The links have a toggle bar to make them easy to put in a cuff single handed. For most men, cuff links are not an every day dress item as they once were. No well dressed man would be without a wardrobe of shirt jewelry. Now, they just feel elegant or sporty when the occasion occurs. These links are in fine condition. They are marked sterling and measure 1 inch by 5/8 in.
