This is a beautifully painted Japanese Satsuma vase from Kinkozan. The gold highlights and enamel on the flowers contrast wonderfully with the matte finished look of the vase. If you look close there is a fine wash of gold beads on the upper area of the vase. It is also a rather large piece at 9 1/4 inches tall and 6 1/2 inches wide. It is signed in gold and again with an impressed mark. Overall the condition is excellent and like many works from Kinkozan, a great display piece.

This is a very fine early Japanese plique-a-jour bowl. The bowl measures 4 3/8 inches across and stands 2 1/4 inches tall. The bowl has two short lines in the yellow/red mums on the side that are hard to see. Look for them in the images. They can not be felt with a fingernail and are probably not all the way through. It is mounted with silver rims.

This is one of the finer pieces of satsuma we have come across. This spectacular and rather large Satsuma Bowl is possibly the artist Seikozan before moving his studio. The mark is a unique early Kozan mark. The bowl glows and is very rich in its design. It features beautiful enameling and very fine gold detailing. The decoration also has a wonderful and unique artistic flare. The condition is near perfect. The bowl is 5 1/2" across and 3 1/8" tall.

This is an attractive early Japanese satsuma vase. It is done in the Gous blue enamels. The shape appears like many pieces that once had a lid but there is no signs of any wear or missing glaze that would indicate that it once had a lid. The vase is very heavy and stout. It stands 10 inches tall by 7 3/4 inches wide. Condition is very good with some slight gold wear. It is signed but we do not recognize the signature.
