This is one of the most significant Japanese satsuma pieces ever created. This is a museum piece with fabulous workmanship in combination with a very large size. This bowl truly has a volume 10-20 times bigger than a normal 5 inch Yabu Meizan bowl. It measures 7 inches tall and is 9 ¾ inches wide. It is also heavily made weighing about 4-5 lbs. The bowl features 6 different exquisitely decorated panels in polychrome and gilt. These panels depict people, birds and landscape scenes. The board...

This is a very fine and rare Japanese cloisonne box. The piece could have been made by Kumeno because of the style and quality. This box has been masterfully repaired on the bottom underside to chips in the dark blue enamel. The repair look great with no silver wire work and none of the flowers affected. The box has also not been sprayed. It has gilded bronze rims and this has worn. The box measures 4 3/4 by 4 1/4 and is 2 1/4 inches tall.

This is a great Japanese cloisonne vase signed by Hayashi Kodenji. It has a large 4 sided form and is prolifically decorated on all sides. The enamel just glows and the workmanship is spectacular. The scattered sparrows are all done in gold wire. Overall condition is excellent. There is a circular craze on one of the shoulders that is not easy to notice. It take very bright light to see it. In our expert opinion, this 12 inch Hayashi is one of the top five cloisonne pieces we have handled since ...

This is an extremely fine Japanese Cloisonne vase with gold wire decorations. It measures just 3 1/2 inches tall so it is much finer and more exquisite in person. It is not signed. The fine workmanship on this piece was most likely done by Hayashi Kodenji as only an elite few could have ever created such a piece. The enamel colors and character of the bird also match Hayashi's work. Condition is excellent.

This is a beautiful Old Japanese celadon glazed censer or incense burner. It is similar in appearance to some of the fine Longquan celadon burners. We are not sure if it is old enough to be an antique but it is quite old as one can see by the wooden box. We were told it is signed by Seiji master porcelain artist Kato Keizan. The silver lid is heavy and exquisitely made. It stands 4 3/4 tall and 4 inches wide. Condition is excellent.

This is a very fine small Japanese cloisonne vase done in the style of early Namikawa cloisonne pieces. This vase like Namikawa works has butterflies, high sheen mottled enamels and gilt wires. Even so we believe it was probably made by Honda. This heavy piece stands 4 3/4 inches and the condition is nearly mint.

This is a rare example of an early pigeon blood cloisonne vase. It's also quite an attractive old piece. There is no embossed red translucent background like the common pieces but there is substantial amounts of silver wire and enamel work. The vase is also a unique wide shape being 7 1/4 tall and 4 1/2 inches wide. The rims are silver and unmarked. Condition is excellent with a small bit of discoloration in the translucent red enamel. This is shown in the images.
