This is a fine and a bit unusual Japanese cloisonne box. It does not have a silk interior lining like most boxes this style and it has a hinged lid like the guilt wire boxes made in Kyoto. It is also signed by Hayashi. The quality of the enamel and workmanship are outstanding. We have had two similar boxes like this but with a little different Hayashi mark. Condition is very good with some scuff wear to the underside and wear to the gilt on the inside...

This is a very fine example of a Japanese Cloisonne Wireless egret vase. The shape is very pleasing and the wireless work is outstanding. We believe the vase was created by Gonda,Sosuke or Hayashi. The vase displays wonderfully but at on time it was drilled for a lamp but this was restored. The slight discoloration seen above the bottom rim are original wires placed in the enamel. The vase measures 6 1/2 inches tall.
