This is an attractive piece of Japanese mixed metal art. The silver plaque is decorated gold highlights and what appears to be black lacquer or shakudo. box, This plaque is old but may not be old enough to be an antique. Knowing the Artist's signature would help. At one time it was framed in a metal and gold frame. The image size not including the frame is 17 1/2 inches by 9 1/2 inches. There are subtle signs of wear but overall the plaque is in very good condition.

This is a very attractive Cloisonne jewelry chest from Inaba. It is a vintage piece, but still there a lot of work that went into this jewelry chest. It is decorated all over. There are two working drawers and both sides of the doors are also decorated. In the bottom area is a wind-up musical mechanism, that does work. The Phoenix Bird decoration on the top is very nicely done. The box is very heavy and it measures 7 1/4 inches tall, 6 inches wide and 3 1/4 inches deep...

This is a very attractive older Japanese Kutani vase in mint condition. The painting on the piece reminds us of the satsuma artist Taizan. It is quite old and is approximately 75 years old. This came from a Japanese woman who told us it was signed by the artist Eigetsu. This is a rare mark and could be made by the same Eigetsu known for making fine woodblock prints in the early 1900's It measure 9 1/4 inches tall.

This is a superb Japanese Cloisonne Enamel Vase. It stands 9" tall and is 6 ½" wide. It has a very unusual shape on this piece and is heavy. The has a stylized designer look with large scrolling artistic vines and leaves decorated over a deep Navy blue/green ground. The enamel has soft varying shades of blue that graduate from dark blue, almost purple at the tip of the leaves to a lighter deep Sapphire. The vase is old but probably not quite an antique. We believe it is from the 1920's.
