| A really beautiful Early American Pattern Glass open flat rectangular ice cream dish or tray in the Block and Fan pattern; also known as Block with Fan border. Made by Richards & Hartley Glass Co. No. 544, circa 1885. This piece was originally made to serve ice cream from and is part of the 7 piece ice cream set. Measures 13 1/4" long, 8" wide and 1 5/8" deep. There is a chip on the one side (short side) on the top of one of the fans, another small chip inside the top edge and the center star burst has a mold mark. The 4 corners of this dish have heart shaped fans. Although originally used to serve ice cream from this is a very versatile piece today; makes a great serving tray for crackers & cheese, hors d' oeuvres and is sure to come in handy for the holidays, has wonderful sparkle! 3 pounds 3 ounces | ||
