| A lovely EAPG heavy flint glass covered sugar bowl in the Smocking pattern made by the Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. in the 1840's. The cover has a chip about 5/8" on the outer bottom edge and the inner edge has some small flea bites. About 5 of the top points on the bottom bowl have tiny bites and the bottom scalloped base has a few small chips / nicks on the edge; one of which is followed by a minor internal fracture. This antique sugar bowl is shown in the Metz EAPG book on page 52. Measures 6 1/4" tall to the finial knob on the cover. A wonderful Boston & Sandwich piece, sparkling clear with a long bell flint ring! 2 pounds 2 ounce | ||
