Japanese woodcut of good fortune talisman.
Ugashin is a god of good fortune and agriculture in snake form.
Also a pair of foxes are depicted. They are messenger of Inari, Japanese deity of fertility, agriculture, industry and worldly success.
The 3 characters in the lower part are read "Ugashin or Ugajin".

Measurements : 19 7/8" x 7 1/8" x 7/8" (25 x 18 x 2.3 cm)
It is in good condition.

Large Japanese cylindrically-shaped vase is made of Kiri-wood and ornamented with makie, a design of flying six butterflies.
Date from the late 19th century to early 20th century.

Measurements : 17 7/8" (45.5cm) tall and 8 5/8" (22cm) wide. Hole : 5 7/8" (14.8cm) diameter and 7 7/8" (20cm) deep.
Weight about : 5 kilograms.
There are damages on the surface of the wood and black lacquer of the top as seen in the photos.
