Ebisu and Daikoku, being two of the Seven Lucky gods of Japan, are often depicted in pairs.
Ebisu is regarded as the tutelary deity of all occupations, especially of fishing, farming and commerce, hold a fishing rod in his right hand and carrying a large sea dream under his left arm.
Daikoku is deity of good luck and good fortune, standing on two rice bales, holding a hammer in the right hand and carrying the big sack over his left shoulder.

Signed artist name "Koseki" and sealed. Nakanishi Koseki (1807-1884), scholar artist, active in Kyoto from late Edo to early Meiji era.

There is a touchmark of Gyokusendo on the base.
The skill of Gyokusendo is handed down in a long tradition.

Plover-shaped hammered iron tray with bamboo-shaped detachable handle, hollow hammered iron, is made to be light.
The tray has silver mounted edge.
Comes with original wooden box, signed "Chidori kashiki (or plover vessel for confectioneries)" on the outside and artist name "Heian Kozan" and sealed on the inside of the lid.
Takase Kozan was active in Kyoto from late Meiji to early Showa era (late 19th - early 20th century).

The clasp of tobaco pouch is in the shape of Japanese catfish and gourd.
The catfish, made of Shakdo (alloy of copper and gold), has gold eyes and the gourd is gilted.
Kiseru-zutsu or pipe case is made with lacquer work and has gold rim.
The mouthpiece and end of Kiseru or pipe is made with silver and brass.
The small Ojime bead is decorated in relief with a flower.
