Japanese blue-glazed basket-shaped pottery vase by Ito Tozan I.
Ito Tozan I ( 1846 - 1920 ), a ceramic artist in Kyoto, was appointed to a member of the Imperial Arts and Crafts Experts in 1917.
The artist mark "Tozan" on the base.
The date between from the late 19th to the early 20th century.

He studied under Ito Tozan II, and was active in the Teiten (Japan Art Academy Exhibition) and the Nitten (Japan Fine Arts Exhibition), and was also appointed to a jury.
Artist mark on the base.
