Measurements: 20 1/4" (51.4 cm) wide, 11 1/8" (28.2 cm) deep and 20 7/8" (53cm) tall,.
Due to age there are scratches and damages on the surface as shown in the photographs. It has no crack or repair.

Fine scroll painting, swimming a pair of carps, is painted with ink and color on silk.
Signed artist name "Toho" and sealed.
Yoshida Toho (1848 - 1931), studied under Ikeda Kinpo and Imao Keinen in Kyoto.

The hammered iron lid has cutting and incising design of plovers flying on the waves.
The iron lid dated Edo period.
Antique iron lid is a good combination with early-modern koro.

Japanese bamboo flower basket with bamboo-roots handle, woven of split smoked bamboo, by Maeda Chikubosai I (1872-1950).
Signed with an inscribed signature by the artist, Chikubosai Zo Kore (Chikubosai made it), on the base.
