This is a set of 6 screen fittings, or Byobu-osae. These lacquered Byobu-osae are in the shape of ink brush. It is quite rare design. Screen is decorated flatly by hooking Byobu-osae on a head jamb to hold the screen in Japanese room. Measurements about : 13" (33cm) long each.

A pair of bronze mythical Chinese animal Kirin or Qilin.
Date around 17th century.

The Southern Sung period Chinese painting is painted with ink and pigment on silk. It would appear that the painting came to Japan during that period and was originally larger work. Old wooden box says that "Li Anzhong, Fuyou-zu (mallow rose)". Measurements : 71 1/4" x 12 5/8" (181cm x 32cm),

Rare, finely cast and carved incense box is in the shape of monkey drinking gourd of Sake(japanese liquor). It was made from antimony. Measurements: 2 5/8" (6.8cm) widest and 1 1/8" (3cm) thickness. There is small bits of damage on the edge and discolored part on the bottom as shown by the photograhs.

This plate is an expression of the wave. Shigeru Nishimura (b1943) has be accepted the Japan Traditional Arts & Craft Exhibition many times and received a number of awards. Measurements : 14 3/8" (36.5cm) x 14 3/8" (36.5cm) x 1 5/8" (4cm). The plate is in perfect condition and comes with original signed and stamped wooden box.

Anonymous fine 4 pictures, depicts four seasons, are painted with ink and color on paper. The paintings date to Edo period. The sheet of paintings are foxing, and there are some damages and repairs. Maeda Yasuaki (b1937) is known for leading potter of Shinsha in Arita, Saga Prefecture. He has be accepted the Japan Fine Arts Exhibition (Nitten) many times and received a number of awards. Shinsha is a type of red glaze used on ceramic ware. The artist signe on the bottom. Measurements : 9 1/2" (24cm) tall and 6 1/2" (16.5 cm) in diameter. It is in excellent condition and comes with signed and stamped wooden box.
