Hammered silver and copper ashtray by Tanaka Hideaki (1916-), artist in Kyoto.
Artist mark "Hideaki" on the base and "Jungin (pure silver)" mark on the reverse of the upper part.

Measurements : 9 1/4" (23.4 cm) by 5 3/4" (14.6 cm) and 1 3/8" (3.4 cm) hight.
It is in good condition with minor scratches on the base.
Comes with original signed and stamped wooden box.

Drinking monk netsuke is very finely skillful artisan carved in tsuge or box-wood.
Signed "Gyokuseki" with an incised signature on the base.

Japanese bamboo flower basket with a loop-style handle, woven of split smoked bamboo, by Tanabe Chikuunsai I (1877-1937).
Artist name "Chikuunsai" is signed with a chiseled signature on the base.

Measurements : 20 5/8" (52.4 cm) tall and 9 7/8" (25 cm) wide.
It is in good condition.

The Southern Sung period Chinese painting is painted with ink and pigment on silk. It would appear that the painting came to Japan during that period and was originally larger work. Old wooden box says that "Li Anzhong, Fuyou-zu (mallow rose)". Measurements : 71 1/4" x 12 5/8" (181cm x 32cm),
Painted area : 39 3/4" x 8 3/8" (101cm x 21.2cm).

The lid of the Kama (kettle) or the Hishaku (ladle) are placed on the Futaoki in Japanese tea ceremony.
