This rare age-old patinated cast bronze Kensui, tea-ceremony basin, is decorated with wave pattern. It is in good condition and comes with wooden box. Measurements: 4 1/8" (10.6 cm) tall and 7 1/4" (18.4 cm) in diameter.

This small chest with iron hardware was made with lacquered Keyaki(elm) wood, and four drawers were made with Kiri wood other than their front Keyaki panels. The bottom panel was changed, but it dose not spoil the feature. Due to age there are small bits of damage and tiny scratches on the surface as shown by the photographs. The chest itself is in good condition and strong. Measurements: 10 3/8" (26.3cm) tall, 18 1/2" (46.8cm) wide and 11 3/4" (29.8cm) deep.

Maeda Yasuaki (b1937) is known for leading potter of Shinsha in Arita, Saga Prefecture. He has be accepted the Japan Fine Arts Exhibition (Nitten) many times and received a number of awards. Shinsha is a type of red glaze used on ceramic ware. The artist signe on the bottom. Measurements : 9 1/2" (24cm) tall and 6 1/2" (16.5 cm) in diameter. It is in excellent condition and comes with signed and stamped wooden box.

This Hagi-yaki Chawan, for tea ceremony, was made by Koki Nosaka (b 1931). Hagi-yaki is Prefecurally-designated cultural property in Yamaguchi Japan, and he is a master of it. Measurements : 3 3/8" (8.7 cm) tall and 5 1/2" (13.8 cm) in diameter. Weight : about 370g. It is in excellent condition and comes with signed and stamped wooden box.

This rare wooden tea tray carved in the shape of leaf with snail from a single piece of hard wood. It is in excellent condition. Measurements about 15 3/8" by 5"(39 x 12.8 cm) across.

These wonderful small Fusuma (sliding door) of Tenbukuro, a small cupboard at the top of the space in a room of Shoin style, has a picture of flock of birds on the wing by Chokujo and his sign and stamp on it. Painted with ink and color on silk. Chokujo Fukada (1861-1947) was well regarded for his flower, bird, fish and landscape paintings. It consists of four Fusuma-doors. Each Fusuma has copper Hikite (door pull) with silver crescent moon and wooden lacquer frame...

Impressive Japanese wooden sculpture depicted Sugawara Michizane, also called Tenjin, a prestigious deity of education and intelligence. Carved from wood and painted. Due to age there are some damages and mellow patina consisting of smoke and soot on the surface as shown by the photographs, but nothing beyond expectation. Measurements: 5 3/4" (14.5cm) tall, 5 3/8" (13.5cm) wide and 3 3/8" (8.5cm) deep.
