Shinya Nakamura (b 1926) is a fellow of the Japan Art Academy. He has be accepted at the Japan Fine Arts Exhibition(Nitten) and received a number of awards. This fine marbled ware is called Neriage in Japan made of different colored clays pressed together. It takes a long time to complete. The potter's mark "Yusen" on this Chawan. The kiln is in Tokoname Japan. Measurements : 2 5/8" (6.7 cm) tall and 6" (15.1 cm) in diameter. It is in excellent condition.

Rare, finely cast and carved incense box is in the shape of monkey drinking gourd of Sake(japanese liquor). It was made from antimony. Measurements: 2 5/8" (6.8cm) widest and 1 1/8" (3cm) thickness. There is small bits of damage on the edge and discolored part on the bottom as shown by the photograhs.
