Bronze vase, with a mottled benido (red) patina, is ornamented in relief with jumping carp.
Signed artist name "Takusai" with a cast seal on the base. Honma Takusai III (1868-1946), an artist of Sado Island, Nigata Prefecture.

Daikoku is one of the 7 gods of good fortune and familiar to nearly every Japanese in the old days.
Mid to late Edo Period.

Measurements about : 5 5/8" (14.3cm) tall, 3 1/2" (9cm) wide and 2 3/8" (6cm) deep.
Due to its old age, there are some damages on the surface and a small bondl-repair at the right foot.

This bronze Hibachi or insence burner has a pair of bat-face shapes and ornamented in relief with chinese phoenix and Kylin. These are auspicious omens motifs.
It was made in Japan or imported from ancient China.

Measurements about : 10 1/4 " (26 cm) wide and 6 7/8" (17.5 cm) tall.
Weight about : 3.2 kilograms.
The cast is fine and strong.
There are small specks and patinas on the surface, and it has hairline crack on the base.

This very fine image is painted with ink and color on silk.
Signed artist name "Seido" and sealed.

Painted area : 44 7/8" x 16 1/8" (114cm x 41cm).

The painting is in good condition.
There are mends with paper on the back of the silk mounting.

Impressive 19th century Japanese bronze candlestick in form of a crane, hold lotus in his mouth, standing atop the back of a tortoise.

Antique boronze Yatate, a portable brush holder with inkwell, inlaid in silver.

Measurements about : 7 1/4 (18.3cm) long.
It is in good condition with a few very small dents.

This flower vase is decorated in hammered relief with landscape and temple, with lacquer painting and makie on the copper base.
The eight-faceted picture screens are surrounded by brass rims, and the top and bottom are covered with black lacquer.
There is an artist mark read "Senpo", although we have not any information.

Measurements about : 8 1/4" (21 cm) tall and 4 5/8" (11.8 cm) wide & depth.
There are some tiny scratches on the surface as shown in the photos.

This finely wooden carved face and hands are covered with Gofun (shell white).
The doll wearing Chirimen silk Kimono.
It would appear that the doll had something in his right hand.

It is in good condition with tiny scratch on the face.

Modern black lacquer vase with gold and silver wave design is made with Kanshitsu, dry lacquer tecnique, by Ogura Gengo (lacquer artist).
Signed artist name "Gengo" with red lacquer on the base.
