The clasp of the leather tobacco pouch is in the shape of plum-blossom and crescent moon.
The plum is made of gold and the crescent moon of Shakudo (alloy of copper and gold).
Date Meiji period.

Japanese bamboo flower basket with a loop-style handle, woven of split smoked bamboo, by Tanabe Chikuunsai I (1877- 1937).
Artist name "Chikuunsai" is signed with a chiseled signature on the base.
