Rare and fine carved lacquer Senbai or Chago is in the shape of a lotus leaf with tortoise.
Japanese green tea Sencha tool Senbai is used in order to fill a teapot with tea leaves.
The lid of the old wooden box says "Tsuishu (Carved cinnabar lacquer) Senbai (scoop for green tea leaves)".

Measurements : 3 1/2" (9cm) by 1 3/4" (4.3cm) and 1 1/4" (3.2cm) tall.
It is in excellent condition and comes with old wooden box...

The body of this tray is made from natural root or trunk and has deep patina...

The tray or plate, in the form of octagon-shaped old basket, is carved from wood.
The artist signature "Koseki-saku(made)" is carved on the underside.
Takahashi Koseki was woodcraftsman and active in the first half of the 20th century.

Measurements about : 15 3/8" (39cm) wide and 1" (2.5cm) thick.
Weight about : 1510 grams.
There are scratches on the surface.

This rare wooden sculpture is a decoration for a roof beam of a temple or a shrine.
It is formed of dragon's head out of the clouds and caved from a single piece of wood.

It is in good condition with superficial tiny linear cracks and scratches as seen in the pictures....
