Unglazed reddish brown pottery (shudei) brush rest (hikka) is in the shape of mountains.

Japanese bamboo flower basket by Wada Waichisai II, active in Osaka.
Waichisai I ( 1851 - 1901 ) was teacher of Tanabe Chikuunsai I ( 1877 - 1937 ).
Signed with an inscribed signature by the artist, "Waichisai zo" (Waichisai made), on the base.

Measurements: H 25 5/8" (65 cm) and W 9 7/8" (25 cm).
It is in good condition and comes with original signed and stamped wooden box.

Signed artist name "Bairei" in red lacquer.
Date early 20th century.

Japanese Shigaraki-ware large Tsubo ( jar )
There is an old crack in the mouth.

Measurements : 15 1/2" (39.5 cm) wide and 13 3/4" (34.8 cm) tall.
Weight about : 7.6 kilograms.

Beautiful shaped bronze spoon, date to the Koryo Dynasty (918-1391).

Measurements : 8 3/4" (22.2 cm) long.
It has a tiny crack in the scoop part and a chip in the end.

Japanese bending round chip Mizusashi ( water jar ) is decorated with gold leaves on the Roiro ( black lacquer ) ground.
In Habuta-temae, one of etiquettes of tea-ceremony of Urasenke, using a large fresh green leaf as cover of this Mizusashi.

Measurements about : 7 1/2" (19.2 cm) tall and 5 3/8" (13.5 cm) wide.
Weight about : 167 grams.

Chinese scholar art bamboo brush pot carved with calligraphy, chinese poem.

Measurements : 5 1/4" (13.3 cm) tall and 2 3/4" (7 cm) wide.

Fine scroll painting Gunbai ( a military leader's fan ) is painted with ink, color and gold on silk.
Signed artist name with his title "Edokoro azukari jyu-shi-i-jo Tosa-no-kami Fujiwara Mitsuzane" and sealed.
Tosa Mitsuzane ( 1780 - 1852 ) is the oldest son of Tosa Mitsusada.

Measurements about : 69 5/8" x 18 1/4" (177 cm x 46.5 cm),
Painted area : 32 3/8" x 13" (82.3 cm x 33 cm).

The framed relief with squids by Onaga Tamotsu (1932-).
The relief is made by scattering metal powder in soft lacquer on the hammered metal plate.
This japanese lacquer is called Makizume, one of the technique of Makie.
Onaga Tamotsu has be accepted at the Japan Fine Arts Exhibition (Nitten) and received a number of awards.
Hammered artist mark, read Tamotsu, on the work.
The paper with the artist signature, stamp and the title read "Hotaruika" on the back.

Japanese Iga-ware pottery Mizusashi with wooden lacquer lid.
Measurements : 9 1/2" (24 cm) x 8 5/8" (21.8 cm) x H 6 5/8" (16.7 cm)
Weight about : 1970 grams

The pottery mizusashi is in good condition. There are minor scratches on the surface of the reverse of the black lacquer lid.
This mizusashi is contained in wooden box.
