Relief Fishes by Onaga Tamotsu
The framed relief with a pair of sea bream by Onaga Tamotsu (1932-).
The relief is made by scattering metal powder in soft lacquer on the hammered metal plate.
This japanese lacquer is called Makizume, one of the technique of Makie.
Onaga Tamotsu has be accepted at the Japan Fine Arts Exhibition (Nitten) and received a number of awards.
Hammered artist mark, read Tamotsu, on the work.
The paper with the artist signature, stamp and the title read "Tai" on the back.

Measurements of frame about : 20 1/4" (51.5 cm) by 16 3/4" (42.5 cm).
Measurements of a piece of work about : 13" (33 cm) by 9 1/2" (24 cm).

It is in excellent condition.
