Wooden box is decorated with design of dragonflies with gold and silver makie on the black lacquer ground. The interiors and the base are covered with brown lacquer (Shunkei-nuri). The title of the work "Tonbo (dragonfly)" is on the outside, and the artist signatue "Kazumitsu-saku (made by Kazumitsu)" and the date "The early autumn of Taisho 15th (1926)" are on the inner side of the lid of the Tomobako. Measurements The box : 5 1/8" (13 cm) by 4" (10.3 cm) and 2" (5.1 cm) hight. The tray : 6 3/4" (17 cm) by 5 1/2" (14 cm) and 5/8" (1.6 cm) hight.
