Japanese Oni-Hagi Chawan by Shoroku

This Oni-Hagi Chawan was made by Yamato Shoroku. The potter's mark on the bottom. Between end of 19th century and early 20th century. Oni-Hagi, that type of Hagi-yaki, is wild and have strong impression, one factor due to coarse-grained clay. Shoroku Kiln was developed by 1st Yamato Shoroku in 1895. Measurements : 3 1/8" (8cm) tall and 5 5/8" (14.4cm) in diameter. It is in good condition and comes with original wooden box.
