| This elegant Kannon Statue is carved from a single piece of hard wood. Due to its great age the lacquer were polished until the wooden basis patches below come to the surface. With rich age-old patina. "Hoei(japanese traditional era name) 6th(1710) January 4th", "Dedication", dedicator name and "Taneyoshi"(?) sculptor name are carved on the bottom. Measurements: 5 3/8" (13.6 cm) tall. There is repair in the coiffured hair and antiquity chaps on the surface as shown by the photographs. | |||||||||||||
