A charming French cut steel beaded purse with a multi-tone rug design in shades of gold, silver and bronze, circa 1900. The purse features an intertwining fringe, a double chain handle, a patterned goldtone frame and a white satin lining. The frame is marked "Made in France". Condition is very good: the beads are all present and tight to the frame. The fringe is missing one string, and there may be some dirt or discoloration on some of the other strings...

Adorable little framed Victorian beadwork picture, featuring a central cross, anchor and heart (for faith, hope and charity), under a bow, and surmounting a pansy (remembrance). Later wood frame with oak veneer. Measures 5” by 3 ¾”; sight size is 3 ½” by 2 ¼”. Condition is very good – frame has a few nicks and scratches.

Charming early 19th century wooden snuff box, carved in the shape of a shoe, probably from Dieppe, France. Diamond-shaped ivory insert on the lid; the heart at the toe is probably missing ivory. Lovely patina; very good condition. Measures 3 7/8” long by 1 1/8” wide by 1/2” high.

Early 19th century dragee box with fabulous reverse painted lid featuring pretty woman holding a large playing card of the King of Hearts! The scene is surrounded by scroll and scallop motifs in gold. Best of all, at her feet is a rebus; my lack of French prevents me from deciphering it, but it should show well in the image! Box is made of heavy board or card, trimmed in gilt metal and topped with glass...

An early 19th century royal blue enamel box, possibly Wednesbury. The lid features raised blue, gilt and white floral decoration. Good condition; some chips and cracks to interior. Measures 1 ½” long by 1 1/8” wide by 1” high.

Pretty burl snuff box commemorating the accession of Louis Phillipe to the French throne, which occurred in 1830. Center medallion features a profile of the king and the words: "L. Phillipe Roi Des (?) Francais/Dehais". Box is lined in tortoise shell or horn. Very good condition; central medallion is somewhat dented. Measures 1 3/4".

Round Continental porcelain box, with transfer decoration on a convex lid depicting four people in a pastoral setting, the interior with floral and foliate transfer decoration on white ground. There are gilt highlights on the exterior salmon-colored body and rim. Condition is very good, with some surface scratches to the transfer decoration, but no chips or cracks. Marked in blue enamel with a Sevres-style mark. Measures 1 ¾” high by 2 ¼” in diameter.

Lovely 19th century French porcelain box in wonderful condition, decorated with raised gilt and white decoration on a green background. Nice oval shape. Excellent condition; one spot of dirt on one side. Measures 2 1/2” long by 1 1/8” wide by 1 5/8” high.

Very unusual 19th C burl snuff box with hidden hinge, featuring a nun with rosary beads and prayer book kneeling before a cross. The cross and altar look vaguely Russian or Baltic. The scene was enameled at one time, but it has mostly worn off. Lined with tortoise shell or horn. Fabulous design; good condition. Measures 2 3/8" by 1 1/4".

A wonderful and rare 19th century English steel chatelaine with five chains, including a cut steel studded mesh purse and steel button hook. Chatelaine hook measures 2 ¾”; chains are 7”. The purse measures 5” by 3” – it has great pointed drops on the fringe! Very good condition; some wear commensurate with age; could use a good clean.

An unusual wooden penwork floral picture, circa the late 18th or early 19th century. Women often made penwork boxes or pictures at home, using stylized floral motifs deriving from the Chinese. A piece of wood was varnished and then decorated with pen, then varnished again. This picture is lovely and rich in color and style...

Pair of Georgian cut steel and horn hair combs, one fashioned as a crescent, one as a crescent and star. Beautiful original condition; one rivet on swivel of crescent and start has broken loose. Measure 2 ¾” tall.
