Pristine Georgian black dot paste brooch, featuring a large topaz-colored stone surrounded by a sunburst of clear pastes. Black dot paste a tiny black dot painted on the bottom of the stone, mimicking the open culet or early diamonds. The intensely white pastes are foiled and set in crimped silver mounts. 9k gold reverse. Excellent condition. Measures 1 1/2” by 1 1/4”.

Georgian gold memorial swivel ring, featuring plaited brunette hair on one side and an intaglio crest on the other, flanked by an amethyst on each side. The crest is comprised of the figure of a dragon (or possibly a hound!) over a shield over a banner bearing the motto “sed labe sine decus” or “honor without a stain”...

Dramatic seed pearl, mother-of-pearl and gold cross, circa 1860. Seed pearl jewelry reached the zenith of its popularity in the mid 19th century and was particularly associated with wedding finery. As with the best examples, this cross was constructed by individually stringing each pearl with catgut to a mother-of-pearl backing, which turn was fixed to a gold frame with silk thread. Great condition; one pearl missing at the far left edge. Measures 4 3/8”.

Beautiful enamel and diamond Victorian mourning ring, in 18k gold. The ring comprises a gold star set with a diamond surrounded by black enamel. The band features “In Memory of” in gold lettering on black enamel. There is a locket with hair on the reverse, along with an inscription: “John Co. Obt 27 Apr 1865 ae 80”. Hallmarked for London 1863-64; maker’s mark “W.C”. Ring size 5 3/4.

Very unusual and elegant transitional demi-parure, manufactured by the German WMF factory, probably late 19th or early 20th centurycentury. WMF , or Wuttembergisches Metallwarenfabriek, has been known since the mid-19th century for its fine metalwork. This set comprises a necklace, bracelet and brooch, in gilt silver and featuring scrolling links set with what looks like lapis lazuli. Brooch and bracelet are marked 925; necklace is 835. Excellent condition...
