| A large and complex Georgian embroidered hair picture on silk, depicting a figure (reading a book!) reclining before a ruin. Incredible detail and shading of the ruins and surrounding landscape. Some splits to the silk in the sky; one repair in the bushes, and some loose threads, but a great 200 year old example of a lost art! Measures 16 ½” by 13 ½”; sight size 14” by10 ¾”. | ||||||
