| This little make-do beadwork piece is a mystery to me in two ways – in function and design. My guess is that it’s a pen rest and that the pen nib was intended to sit in the fluted white fixture at one end. The design on one side is a spaniel, but the design looks extremely odd – perhaps a bagpipe? At any rate, it’s a great little piece in good condition – small losses to spaniel, edges and corners. Measures 2 3/8” by 2”. | |||||
