| Fantastic early 20th century double-sided silk embroidered bag with a super marcasite and carnelian (either stone or glass) Art Deco clasp. The front features a pair of lovers in a picturesque landscape; he is offering her a flower while a little boy spies on them behind a column. The reverse features knots of flowers. Green silk embroidered handle; cream silk lining with central change purse. Very good condition: blue on back has faded a bit; lining (and lining of handle) is shattered; slight soiling. Measures 8 1/2” by 6 1/2”. | |||||||
